I have no idea who you are or what your comic is about. My friend linked it to me and I noticed one of your characters is wearing a Five iron Frenzy shirt. I just wanted to tell you that kicks ass. I wish I was able to see them live
Thanks, man! I am a big Fire Iron fan, and in fact, I was in a ska band back in High School, and they were one of my biggest influences. There’s going to be more ska-references where that came from later in the strip, so I hope you’ll come back and continue to check it out.
Five Iron was phenomenal live, they are missed. Their lead singer (Reese Roper) still puts out solo albums, and they’re pretty good, and similar to what Five Iron did, although not quite as genius.
Heck yeah! I noticed the FIF shirt a while ago too, but I guess I was just seeing if there was a better time to comment about it or something. Figured this is a good enough spot with the other one being here. I also noticed that you had the guys in Texas. I wonder how far away they are from me? :p I’ve really enjoyed reading your comic and like how I can relate to its dorky-ness. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the kind words, man! I really appreciate it, and I’m glad you’re liking the strip!
These stories are moderately based on a real Texas college, but I’ve been a little reluctant to be too specific about their location–but I’m sure that’ll come out soon enough… stay tuned!
