Stanley Cup FTW
The Dallas Stars won again tonight, giving them a 3-game lead over San Jose in the playoffs.
What? Sports? I thought this comic was about dorky stuff like Star Trek, and wishing I could talk to girls!
Relax, readers! Sports are cool too (just click here if you don’t understand how). I’m not a huge sports fan by any means, but I have a soft spot for hockey. I used to play street hockey as a kid, and I would follow the Stars. You could say they popped my sports cherry, so I try to follow ‘em when I can – and this year it looks like they may go all the way.
It’s tough to be a hockey fan in Texas – this here be football country, boy! But come on, the Stars are rockin’ your face off this year, so if you haven’t been following it, pick it up!
Any other nerds out there want to divulge their guilty pleasure of sports?

You know who sucks? Year after year after year? The Mavs! That’s why I’ve taken my basketball love to another town…San Antonio. Go Spurs Go!
Also, the Rangers suck. And Jerry Jones is just hella annoying…Have I insulted Dallas sports enough?

Man, that is some brutal hate against Dallas sports. I like it! Express your anger! Give in to your hatred, and let us be entertained by it!
But be careful talkin’ about the Spurs ’round these parts… thems fightin’ words for most folk here… ok enough with the accent. The Mavs are like an ex girlfriend to me… I loved them, I put my trust in them, and they continually let me down… not keeping their promises, hanging around with other basketball fans… they broke my heart too many times! So I’m through with them!
I really don’t care much about basketball to begin with. But be nice… Jones is a tough old curmudgeon that casts an evil shadow over everything, but the Cowboys are still my boys! And how could you possibly hate on “Jedi Master” Romo, or Witten?

So far as sports are concerned I do support my home town (San Antonio Duh). They haven’t let me down yet.
The Hockey scene really isn’t a big issue for me. Plus the San Antonio hockey team did suck enormous balls, last time I saw them.
I haven’t heard of any good news concerning the Dallas Mavs. I just heard that they were a big bowl of suck.
Football is one of my favs but it takes a while for me to get what team I’m going for. (despite the fact i live in dallas)

San Antonio has a hockey team?
It was funny tonight, we were laughing about how Texas and California have teams in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. How weird is that? Isn’t this sport supposed to be Canadian, or Minnesotean?
(PS – yeah, I know it’s pronounced ‘Minnesotan,” but the one I used just sounds cooler, a little more sci-fi. Go with it.)
