Chris, you make a strong case about Macs costing more. But what you also have to consider, is am I going to do what is my duty as a responsible American (sorry, it’s pronounced, ‘Merican!) citizen, and spend the most amount of money possible, to get our economy moving?

The answer of couse, is yes. Because pizza moves the economy as much as computers.

“about buying (SLIGHTLY) superior hardware”…that costs a SUPERIOR amount. I’ve talked to enough MAC users that say they simply traded old problems for new, maybe fewer. I can deal with the devil I know better than the devil I don’t. Good luck…I’m sure I’m wrong. (What I do know is that after I buy my Microsoft, I’ll be spending my extra money on video games, pizza and soda, ammunition, and car magazines. “These are a few of my favorite things.”)

Thanks everybody! Except you Pat, stop guilt-tripping me about buying superior hardware…

Agnostic-thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely check out that book. I could use a few pointers in learning exactly how mac is set up – it’s pretty intuitive, but some little confuse me here and there. Awesome Pro-tip!

Welcome to the mac family. Go a get yourself the book: “The Missing Manual: Leopard Edition” it is the best series out there on helping you make the change. It covers everything both simple and complex so that you don’t feel like you can’t figure it out.
