Nah…TG&Y.

What is HEB supposed to stand for, anyway? I hold a grudge against them for not letting me buy beer at 3am that one time.
Wow, I had no idea what TG&Y was… I had to google it, and surprisingly, there was a wiki for it. The best line was: “In the final years of the chain and as the stores deteriorated in both appearance and cleanliness, shoppers sometimes referred to the chain as “Tacky, Gross and Yucky.”"
No doubt written by some brazen rebellious youth who edits wiki with false information for cheap laughs.

Okay for beer, it’s bad, but for chinese food, there is no doubt, HEB is what it’s all about.
HEB stands for the founder Henry Ernest Butte. or “Here Everything’s Better”
rebellious youth? sounds like you, Mike.

Um……Hurst, Euless, Bedford….duh! (J/K)
Yes, the TG&Y was a better store in the early years of my memory. I don’t remember going there much in the last few years. The ownership change is what sent it down the crapper. Oh well…now we all get to watch the demise of K-Mart! Yeah!
