Credit for today’s punch line goes to my pal JD, who had a very similar conversation as this with me a few weeks ago. I’m not unlike Chuck in my dieting habits, I must say.

The weirdest thing? I went in for an eye exam a year or two ago, and my eyes had actually improved since the last time. My sight was repairing itself! I asked the doctor what could cause such a thing. She looked me square in the face, and without hesitating, said, “Diabetes.” Then she gave me a lecture about the amount of burgers I eat. Yeah, like I don’t get that enough from my non-eye doctors…

What can I say? I’d rather eat wonderful meat-topped pizza than try and count calories. I think it’s a perfectly fine way to live… And it could even give me super-vision!  On the other hand, it might cause me to die a little faster than normal.

Meh.

Records

Some things should never be recorded.

Some events just need to not have permanent evidence that they existed/happened.

Like the reunion of my High School Ska Band…

Why, oh why did we record?

Now, years in the future, when I am famous, and taking over the world with my increible bass guitar skills, someone somewhere will find that tape, and it’ll be like bass watergate…

Bassergate…

Tired now.

Leverage

Is anyone else here a fan of Warren Ellis? If so, you might have heard about the failed attempt at making “Global Frequency” into a TV Show. But, the guys that were trying to make that show did succeed at making another, different show, called, “Leverage.”

Here’s a preview.

I don’t know a single thing beyond what this preview shows, but I’m interested, partially because its the guys that made Global Frequency, so I know they have good taste, partially because it looks really interesting both in plot and characters — but mostly, I’m very interested in it because it has Christian Kane in it — he was one of my favorite parts of Joss Whedon’s “Angel,” he was such a cool villain, and just a cool character all around, and Kane is really a good actor. Or atleast, he is when Joss directs him, I haven’t seen him in anything else…

Could there be something good on tv again?
