Had a Crush…

What’s this? The noble Sandy might be falling for a gentleman? I wonder who it could be?

I don’t have much to say for today, except, Happy Labor Day! I’m so glad I’m NOT at work today! And, I happy that instead of using the time to get good and inebriated, I’m actually trying to build up a small buffer of strips. There was a time when I was a month ahead, but now I usually make strips the day before they go live (moving back in February killed the buffer). I don’t think I’ll get back up to a month, but maybe at least a week or so.

Something I like to do while I work on strips is listen to music or podcasts. Lately I’ve been experimenting with the iTunes radio feature. I found a station called “80’s New Wave” that plays some great stuff — except right when I started writing this post, they started a Cyndi Lauper cover of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Goin’ On?”

Crime.

I’m thinking that this will not be who we might originally think it is…

We won’t be answering this right away, I should probably tell you — just wanted to throw it onto everyone’s back burner, that there is SOMEONE out there that Sandy is interested in… maybe we’ve met this person, maybe we haven’t… maybe I anticipated you thinking it would be unexpected, so I made it the expected, just so that the expected becomes the unexpected…

But really, I’ll develop naturally. I’m not trying to be a super drama guy, I don’t want the strip to turn into a soap opera, but exploring these types of romantic connections between large groups of mutual friends is interesting to me. We’ll see what happens!

You’re addicted to Friends, aren’t you?

Actually, contrary to everything you might think, I’ve really never enjoyed “Friends.” I’ve always been a Seinfeld man.

Lets see shower guy get romantically involved and then he’ll need some advice and who can he turn to? Moses? Bush?

Yeah…I dislike Friends vehemently and am more of a Seinfeld guy too. However, your whole “exploring these types of romantic connections” thing reeks of Friends.
