To Go Cup

Today’s strip: totally true story by the way. She was SO mad she couldn’t get free drinks by keeping the same “to-go” cup for the rest of her life.
She told me that me charging her for a drink made me “lose a customer.” Sounds like I didn’t have one to begin with.

If you go to 7-11, at least the one down on Josey and Rosemeade in Carrollton, you can refill up to a 128 oz container for 99 cents (essentially any cup you want as long as you bring it in yourself). Not sure how many people go in to 7-11 for a gallon of fountain drink… but it’s nice to know you can.

Woah, I think my brain just exploded — I am so going to start doing that…

I also distinctly remember Matt going into a Miami subs one time and asking the guy at the register if he could fill up 2 gallon jugs with ice tea (I think it was tea at least..?) and the guy behind the counter rang up a drink and let him do it. The real deal is to find someone who just doesn’t care =]
Also, you know how they give you the little clear cup when you order water? I’ve always wondered what would happen if you just overtly took that over the fountain drinks and kept filling it up. Would anyone in the restaurant have the guts to tell you off? I really don’t think they would. But I’d feel like it was outright theft if I tried it, so I have to leave the real research to someone more unscrupulous.
