Quick Hits

  • I’m sick today. And everyday. Apparently Ike not only brought pain and death and wreckage, but stirred up stuff to bring me to my allergic knees. I’m allergic to almost every plant, so it’s no surprise.
  • The new “Sound of Animals Fighting” album is called “The Ocean and the Sun.” It is also amazing. Their best by a big margin, I think. Pick it up.
  • Sent files to the printer, should have something to show you guys in about 3 weeks.
  • The Cowboys/Eagles game on Monday was probably the best game of professional football I have ever seen in my life. So amazing, so great. I won’t forget that experience for some time. My only regret is my allergies kept me from hollering as loudly as I wanted.
  • Got a new backup drive. I was looking at a 500GB, and I noticed that only $20 more would get a One Terabyte drive. It is monolithically intimidating.

    heh, i didn’t even know there was a game…

and yes, passing up a terabyte for only 20 bucks more is madness.

    man, bob is a dick

You didn’t know about the home opener? Good grief, you’re like me from 3 years ago… just get a job where your boss listens to sports talk radio all day, and then you’ll be a big fan, and you’ll never look back!

Yeah, Bob can be rough sometimes, but it’s just best friends riffing on each other. I try to emphasize that Chuck wasn’t even phased by it, he didn’t respond at all, because he’s so used to hearing it.

But Bob better be careful, that kind of joking in the wrong context could be bad… maybe we should explore that…

Mike…I’m glad to hear that you watched the game. I guess I didn’t realize that sports were even on your radar very much. Due to other responsibilities, I was only able to catch the second half, but it was a great game! I have to admit, I’m a Romo fan. Especially after that story about how he helped those people on the side of the road after last weeks game.

I haven’t heard this story — do tell! You’re right, it is a great game. I was disappointed by Barber in the first half, but he rocked it in the second, so I’ll give him his props. Witten and TO were genius and what else can you say about Romo?

My roommate says he wants a shirt that says, “I’m homo for Romo.” Who can deny him?

  6. Chris B.

Well, I’ll let the professionals tell the story…

Also, I like the shirt idea. Mine would say “I’m a Romo-sexual.”

That game was good but also terrible and exciting and emotional. You guys are a few seasons behind on the get gay shirts. I’m making one that says I’m American for Romo. Sports!

  8. Chris B.

Well, I didn’t claim that those ideas were NEW…just funny. Besides, I still own shirts that I wore in Jr. High…so I’m not the most up-to-date guy.

  9. Raychel

I have to interject here that I, Raychel Anne Parker-Dull, coined the work “Romosexual”. After the first game or two that he played for the Cowboys, my dear sweet husband found his true Life Partner. I started calling him a Romosexual. I have a tshirt somewhere that I made that says so. ME. I’m so determined to take credit because I thought in fourth grade I made up the word “spork” and when I found out I didn’t I was devistated. I am claiming this. Let me have my moment, dammit!
