If there are guys out there that are telling you that they hate the Disney Cartoon Musicals, that there is no redeeming value in any of them… I am telling you right now, there is atleast an 80% chance they are totally lying.

Every guy, no matter how tough, saw at least some of those as a kid, and they really get to you. I love Aladdin, and The Lion King, and some of the older ones. Stuff like Mulan and was a little after my time, so I missed out on those, but let’s be honest — Beauty and the Beast tugs at the heartstrings. The Great Mouse Detective and the Rescuers are great, fun adventure stories. I realize not all of these are full fledged musicals, but as cheesy and predictable as some of the music gets, it is still greatness.

I think Tarzan is freakin’ amazing. Robin Hood? SO fun. The Jungle Book is a total blast! I must’ve watched Peter Pan like 30 times when I was growing up.

Yeah, part of it is that I’m somewhat of an animation buff, but these are legitimately great films — and I think almost any guy can agree with that without losing their man card.
