Three Hour Tours
Does anyone remember the late 90’s relaunch of the Justice League, titled “JLA” by Grant Morrison and Howard Porter? Anyway, right before it came out, I remember picking up a Wizard Magazine special about it, and something they did was go through each character in the Justice League, and have the writers do a little blurb about what that character honestly thought about each of the other characters. It ended up being way awesome, you got to see the dynamics of the relationships play out.
I’ve tried to exaggerate that to the nth degree here, showing what Bob might think of Chuck, or maybe just what he thinks Chuck is capable of at his ultimate worst. Of course, it also reflects on Bob that the worst thing his nightmare version of Chuck does is to make a big mess in their shared space.
But enough introspection. You may be wondering why there’s a storyline notification attached to this comic… after all, we’ve just had some jokes about Bob’s work environment… surely that’s not the groundwork for a big, revealing character drama?
And you’d probably be right, but I think it’ll be the groundwork for something funny. An maybe the other thing too.
