Their dorm rooms have sinks? That would have been useful in my dorm room, it would have made shaving much more simpler. But on the other hand I would have just filled it with dishes.

I think I showed their sinks once, here: http://www.dormdorkscomic.com/2007/11/07/viking-funeral/
My dorm (which is what I’m basing these off of) had the tiniest sink in the corner, very small, and a tiny little mirror above it, that opened and had a little shelf, med-cabinet thing. It definitely wasn’t big enough for dishes, one bowl or plate, and you’re done… but it was cool ’cause you could do things like shave or brush your teeth, etc in your room.
But to go to the bathroom or shower, you still had to walk all the way down the hall, through a locked door with a keypad. It was madness!

Hahaha! The giraffe reminds me that I still have my giant toothbrush. It was generally the first thing that people noticed when walking into my dorm room because it was so random. I think all rooms need some little prop like that to confuse people.
Re: sinks. I was incredibly jealous of the PLU campus for having sinks in rooms where UW does not. Too many people to cram into too small of rooms to add amenities like that. :p

A giant toothbrush? That sounds amazing!
I’m glad I’m not the only one impressed with sinks. I feel it’s a little ridiculous that the younger folk I know in college now have full suites, with private bathrooms, and everything. Ah, I pine for the good ol’ days when dorms were disgusting pits that no one ever wanted to visit…

We had sinks in our room and we shared the toilet and shower with the suite-mates next to us. It was pretty sweet (no pun intended)!
