I, unfortunately, was not at that show that day (one of the very few 1000MFA shows I missed). I had a cast party to attend that evening, but I think my sister went to the show. She said I would have freaked the eff out (I was notoriously über afraid of tornadoes).

Hello DD'ers. Sorry it has been so long since I've posted, but that is how I roll. I had to post in regard to Raychel's comment...that story is 100% true and 100% awesome...our old band played a show at a church in Lewisville and during our set a tornado touched down basically 100 yards from the church. The place lost power for a bit and they made everyone gather in the center of the room. We played made-up, unplugged songs while we waited for the power to come back. Legendary 1000 MFA Tornado Show, awesome memory!

That was awesome! I'm so glad you remember that! I remember seeing the tornado across the street as we watched. Fun times in Texas!

I remember back in HS that night you had a gig in Lewisville and the tornado went right over the building if I recall? Or something? I mean, I know high schoolers NEVER EXAGGERATE, but it was something to that degree, yes?

Good times...

I agree. I like storms, as long as they don't interrupt my entertainment for the evening. Thankfully the power stayed on for us.

The only area where I differ is that, in my experience, we get plenty of wimpy rain around here. If you've ever seen it rain while the sun was shining, it usually ends up being wimpy rain.
